Battlefield Hardline: Video Preview

Battlefield: Hardline appeared on the players’ radar quite suddenly and, according to both developers and publishers, was completely unplanned. But we decided not to draw conclusions from the ancient trailer that was leaked online, but played the beta ourselves and are now ready to talk about our impressions.

Great video preview. Sasha encourage your patron to do some kind of stream on Friday. The next one on the schedule is July 26th… It’s crazy how long(((

Wow, everyone loves to whine about prices, especially to kick the unfortunate Wasteland 2, which included information out of the box why the price is so high in Steam early access and that it is guaranteed to be reduced by release. And now I will whine about the prices of bf, information about the reduction in the cost of which is not available anywhere.
For prices for regular editions (without discounts):

bf3 – 600 rubles (I took it a month after the start, I don’t regret the purchase, I also took the premium, the purchase, which I also don’t particularly regret, although the price was steep)
bf4 – 1200 rubles (I took it a couple of months after the start, at a discount, I wanted to return it, I changed my mind, it would be better to return it, I don’t want to take the premium and I won’t)
bf hardline – 1500r (https://www.origin.com/ru-ru/store/buy/battlefield-hardline/pc-download/base-game/standard-edition, I doubt that I will even buy or play, although it all depends on the quality of the support, and also, I would like to point out, the stability of the builds and the environment)

I wrote a long time ago about the “main” problem of bf, not that there are bugs there, not that there are cheaters (I wish you diarrhea), not that there are prices that bite and hurt :(, but about their short life cycle.
2 years have passed since the release of bf3 -> bf4, 2011->2013, after the release of bf4 they officially abandoned bf3, everything that was not fixed there at that time will never be fixed, unless suddenly a miracle happens and EA buys Valve.

Now there is a situation in which https://bettingsitesnogamstop.co.uk/review/spin-time/ there may be two active branches of the game on frostbite 2 of EA’s flagship -> bf4, bf hardline. If you remember how at E3 2013 they poured information into everyone’s ears that there would be “a single space and BF4 would be a platform in general,” in other words, they promised a long life cycle, goodness, happiness and the like.

There are risks that bf4 will suffer the same situation as the top three, after all, this is money for support, servers and other expenses (which EA can afford so as not to lose face). Will 4 announce the end of support (is it the release of patches, some critical additions, or just the release of content) after the fans buy hardline or not, I don’t know, but the chances are non-zero.

BF could be a really good and cool platform for online shooting games, if you combine all the modes of BF3-4 and hardline you would get some kind of crazy giant list. Now it looks completely different from what we would like and how we need it.

I’ll end my grumbling with hackneyed numbers: Counter Strike: Source, release date 2004, GO: 2012..
Life cycle is 8 years (even though I don’t know for sure whether Valve has already finished supporting source or not)

BF3 – 2011-2013, life cycle 2 years
BF4 – 2013-xxxx, they promised a long cycle, we are waiting, we hope
BF: Hardline – 2014-xxxx – ?

That is, if you haven’t been killed in the head or blown up, being able to resurrect with full health and finish off a beaten enemy while he switches to someone else is a well-done thing in terms of balance?)

As a seasoned bf nerd, I want to say that I liked the hardline (and my fellow nerds too).
But honestly, 1800 rubles? I’m not talking about DLS and so on, the prices are just too European.
If it (pre-order) cost at least 1200 rubles, then there would still be a conversation about the purchase.
And so take it after such a deception with BF4 (we bought it, played it, and came to the conclusion that the premium is worth taking for only 600 rubles, and it makes sense to play after a bunch of games, and in the end we almost never played after the release).
So I think that hardline is worth getting at a discount (at least around 1000 rubles), and before that play premium for bf4 (which I hope will have a normal discount by this time).

I generally liked Hardline, but. Heavy weapons in urban combat cause great confusion. RPG? Stingers? Light machine guns, autocannons and miniguns? This, in my opinion, is already too much. In principle, heavy weapons could be left, but, for example, the game could be divided into stages in order to logically justify the use of all sorts of big guns:
1) Start of the robbery. Well, in the “Hiest” mode, let’s say, until the doors of cash-in-transit vehicles explode. Players at this stage only have access to secondary weapons and light vehicles.
2) The doors are undermined. Primary weapons, grenades and one gadget appear. But not RPGs and machine guns.
3) One bag was restrained. The second gadget opens, grenade launchers, machine guns, explosive charges, heavy equipment with weapons.
For Blood Money, you can use the same principle, only the stages depend on how much money both teams have in total.
This adds some “progression” to the gameplay and logically justifies the use of heavy broads in the conditions of a regular robbery. Well, it brings a little variety.

I don’t know who gave you a minus, but keep the plus, friend, for starters.
It’s just that EA’s prices are rising exponentially every year. 1800 rubles (50 bucks) is almost the same as the price for the console version, where prices are high due to the fact that small software and Sony take some of it (PS3, for example, was sold at a loss and paid off due to kintsa igor).
But why is the price so high?? If you take the entire hardline (premium, DLS and microtransactions), the situation becomes even worse (I’ll assume that it’s around 3,300 rubles).
Regionality is regionality, but still you just need to prohibit the activation of the key in other regions, and not raise prices to the European level =\

I don’t know, Hardline didn’t work for me at all. I like the classic “battle” with warriors in the leading role much more.

Thank you, Sasha.
I also didn’t really feel strongly about Hardline until I felt the game.
I even wrote somewhere that this is bullshit :)
But no, I was wrong, yes… I confess :D I personally liked the product in terms of gameplay, in terms of its drive, let’s say, in any case, annoying recons now don’t interfere, and the game feels completely different, even if it’s BF.
In general, we’re waiting, and then we’ll see what else interesting Hardline will show us :)

Do not discredit the glorious name of Fargus! They had imitators using an unregistered brand to sell their industrial translation. The originals had everything at the highest level.
