NOT a typical review! UNSC Infantry.

I’ll let you know right away that I’m in the know. I’m aware that the Halo theme is worn down to holes in my underwear. But they ask!

So let’s get started.

Regular UNSC soldier.

Ordinary soldiers. But this does not mean that ordinary means weak. They are equipped with an excellent armored suit of the TRD-505 class complete with a helmet equipped with night vision devices and a built-in broadband radio.
The armament of infantrymen does not differ much. The main small arms are the MA5C or MA5V rifle, Magnum pistol and combat knife, as well as the Bur grenade launcher. Some are armed with shotguns or sniper rifles. Famous members of the UNSC army include: Sergeant Forge, died on the Covenant base planet, blowing up the frigate’s superreactor"Spirit of Fire", Captain Carter and Sergeant Johnson, one of the Master Chief’s friends. By the end of the Great War, the UNSC army numbered 22 million soldiers.

ODST (Orbital Drop Shock Trooper) is a highly experienced unit for carrying out difficult or secret missions. Their name speaks for itself: they board single-person capsules and are then ejected from a ship in low orbit. The capsules contain small jet engines running on liquefied helium-3 gas, necessary for flight adjustments. Their standard weapons include an M7 submachine gun with a removable red dot sight and a silencer for more focused shooting, an M6D Magnum pistol with a silencer and armor-piercing rounds, and for heavily armed fighters there is a Gauss Gauss machine gun or a Spartan Laser. For snipers, there are SSR rifles or BR55 silent combat rifles.

The Spartans are a symbol of the power of the UNSC and its technological progress. These fighters are superhumans with cyborg bodies and the strongest MJOLNIR armor. Without armor, their bodies and minds were long ago subjected to psychological and implant influences. Super reflexes, the latest weapons and unconditional devotion to command are the main advantages of these people.
They were recruited at an early age, and families had flash clones that died a few months after their appearance due to metabolic problems.
Next they were trained in military tactics and the art of combat. When they reached the age of 14, they were subjected to changes and operations to implant MJOLNIR armor into their bodies – the most advanced exoskeleton at the moment. But the operation left many disabled or crippled. They were left in the care of the state, and those who successfully survived all the procedures were initiated into Spartans and sent on missions to eliminate the rebels.

But when the war with the Covenant broke out, troops were dispersed on all fronts to protect the planets from an enemy that was superior to them in terms of technology.

Master Chief was the only Spartan to have MJOLNIR Model 5 armor with prototype energy shields borrowed from the Covenant. the coating was a ceramic mixture applied to tungsten-titanium armor. and the installation projecting the shield self-regenerated energy thanks to a kinetic reactor.

The Spartans’ weapons include all UNSC weapons: the Magnum pistol, BR55, MA5C, MA5B assault rifles, submachine guns, grenade launchers, sniper rifles and, of course, the Spartan laser. It’s not for nothing that they call it Spartan – only a Spartan will be able to fully use this weapon, including the built-in electro-optical sights.
